There's a well and she's deep inside
her reality has thrown ropes before
But her hands were too full with her past
to land on something more
There's a well and she's deep inside
the water outflowing it's brim
She's drowning with what she can't let go
wondering if she's forgotten how to swim
There's a well and she's deep inside
about to hit rock bottom soon
She loosens her grip as she wonders
if losing some things is a boon
There's a well and she's a fighter
after letting go of what pulled her down
There's nothing in her way
nothing to make her drown
There's a well and she's no more deep inside
she thanks the water for keeping her afloat
The water gushes in denial voicing
"you are your own lifeboat"
